Kira Bonesteel is a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, an Architect, and now - a proud small business owner. She was raised in the small town of Watkinsville, Georgia right outside of Athens where the University of Georgia is located. In High School, she knew she wanted to become an Architect and she decided to focus on the CTE track of Drafting and Architecture. The CTE advanced program lead her to internships at a Landscaping Firm, Williams and Associates her freshman year and at Office of University Architects with the University of Georgia her Sophomore through Senior year.  Pursuing her passion of thoughtful design, she attended Kennesaw State University (previously Southern Polytechnic State University) graduating with Honors, Suma Cum Laude, but unfortunately without a job in one of the worst job markets in decades. The unstable job market on the East Coast lead to the 'big move', relocating to San Antonio, Texas where she worked for two large K-12 firms during her 6-year stay. She became LEEP AP BD+C certified, then a Licensed Architect in the State of Texas during her time in San Antonio prior to her settling into the city she now calls home, Corpus Christi, Texas.

Kira has worked on small scale projects. high-end residential, Public and Private funded projects, all the way up to a $110 million dollar Higher Education Campus throughout her career.  She has been practicing as an Architect in Corpus Christi over 9 years, and with our unique coastal climate and design consideration needs - she guides Clients and Projects toward options that work with our Region. Twenty plus (20+) years of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create 3D models for design projects - she is a well-rounded Architect that can complete all aspects of your project. Skilled in codes, understanding the coastal impacts of our area with windstorm and salinity, and delivering complete and coordinated drawings; Bonesteel Architects offers a detailed and personal approach, always striving for the best service for each Clients, for any Projects, and throughout the entire design process.
